About Brad E. Miller

Brad E. Miller is a fine art photographer residing in Central Florida who creates expressive, surrealistic views of the world. As a young child he received a Kodak Ektralite 10 film camera for his 7th birthday. Miller recieved an Associates of Science in Professional Photography through the International Academy of Design and Technology in 2012. During this time, he found photography to be an outlet to express himself. His pursuit in arts led him to begin his Bachelor of Fine Art in Graphic Design at the Sanford Brown College (formerly nammed the International Academy of Design and Technology), which he finished in 2015. After graduating both degrees Magna Cum Laude, he is now pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Photography through the Academy of Art University completing May 2020. Brad’s ultimate goal is to share his knowledge and passion for photography as a professor, as well as hold workshops while continuing to explore the various realms of photography.  

Brad works utilize film in the creation of his work, often combining it with digital photo capture to give the historical aspects of photography a contemporary feeling. Using this method gives his work a unique and personal feel that standard digital photography does not provide alone. Miller finishes his work using alternative printing processes such as platinum printing, cyanotypes, Van Dyke printing, and silver gelatin prints. These processes create a one of a kind piece of artwork because he applies the emulsion by hand, making a deeper personal connection between himself and the artwork. Brad has a deep passion for the medium of photography and wants to keep the traditions from the past alive.
